According to Health Canada the number of medical marijuana users will increase from 40,000 to 450,000 by 2024, approximately 60% of which will be employed, meaning that within 5 years there will be over 100,000 workers authorized to use medicinal marijuana.

Since 2011, MCRCI has provided industry with information and guidelines designed to provide employers with a comprehensive understanding of the issues and complexity of medicinal cannabis and workplace safety.
